Everyone has a release-valve of activity, enough to make it through life; I create and maintain an online comic-strip, and I LOVE every moment of it.
Doing so wouldn't have been possible, have I not had a burnt-down chapter in life. For me, it was being in gig-bands and open-mics playing the keyboard for ten years in the North American city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, amongst a flourishing Filipino-Canadian community.
More so, amongst an even more vibrant, highly-talented, gifted community of artists from all ages, from all walks of life, descent, colour, and nationality; ALL in this city I came to love.
Do I miss gigging? Hell, I'm glad I'm out of it.
Did it even make me money? Not even close!
Did I make a bilingual Filipino-English comic-strip half-heartedly about that whole chapter? Perhaps.
Did I just make a BOOK about it? Hel-loooo!
SO, did I at LEAST enjoy ALL that?
I would have never traded it for anything else in the world.
